Allvivo
Vascular (AVI) is a provider of Biomimetic Surface Coating
technologies for the cardiovascular device industry. We have a
broad platform technology that can be used to improve the
performance of a variety of medical devices. By applying our
coating technology, you can differentiate your device to
obtain a competitive advantage, expand your market share and
increase revenues. Coatings can also be employed to expand the
indications for which a device may be used and thereby expand
the size of the target market.
Our lead
product application is a next generation coating for stents to
reduce restenosis. This coating provides important advantages
over drug eluting stents and is expected to increase the
safety and efficacy of coated stents while eliminating the
need to extend costly antiplatelet therapy beyond one month.
AVI has developed this coating through the preclinical stage
and is preparing to initiate a FIM study.
In addition to
coronary and peripheral stents, AVI’s Biomimetic coatings can
be used to improve the performance of many types of devices
such as pace maker leads, heart assist devices, vascular
grafts, AV access grafts, cardiopulmonary bypass circuits and
indwelling blood gas sensors.
There are four
main ways that AVI can work with you to improve your products:
-
We can help you apply our
hemocompatible and anti-inflammatory coating based on EGAP
and factor H to your existing products
-
If there is a therapeutic or
biologically active entity that is of interest to your
company we can help you apply that entity to device surfaces
using our proprietary polymer coating technology.
-
If there is a specific device or
disease related challenge that you would like to target with
a surface coating, we can potentially help you select and
develop a coating to solve that problem.
-
We are currently developing
novel antibacterial coatings that will be available for
licensing.
AVI licenses
its patented surface modification technologies to medical
device and life science companies. We are flexible in our
approach to business development and are willing to work with
you to develop a relationship that is compatible with your
company’s goals and product commercialization strategy. If you
have a medical device that might benefit from our coating
technology, we would welcome an opportunity to talk with you.
